This softshell jacket by Danish Elka is fully breathable, windproof and highly water resistant. It has a removable, adjustable hood and a microfleece lining for cosy warmth in a cold day, but also lightweight enough to be worn throughout warmer seasons. A softshell jacket is fitted to mould itself to the wearer's body, making it particularly suited for active outdoor pursuits like sailing, hiking, cycling or ball games. Whilst it's less waterproof than a rain coat in polyurethane, it's perfectly able to withstand light rain or several hours of snow fall, and it's a lot more breathable and flexible than a traditional hardshell jacket. We recommend buying on the large side in order to get several seasons' wear out of this extremetly durable garment.
