This is an old Swedish saying that I've taken to heart!
As a mum from Sweden, I want my children's clothes to be comfortable and
practical, but also original, distinctive and fun to wear. Children love climbing,
running and splashing through puddles, and their clothes should allow them
to have fun whatever the weather. Every item should also be easy to wash and
care for, as well as durable and hard-wearing.
Scandinavian style is renowned for its emphasis on functionality, and Nordic
children's clothes are designed to cope with harsh weather conditions. Snow,
sleet or rain, nothing should stop youngsters from having fun outdoors!
Since 2007, VikingKids have been excited to introduce, a number of well-known
Swedish and Danish brands to the UK for the first time.

From kitchen table to busy office: our story continues...
2011 was an amazing year for VikingKids! Amanda joined me in running the
business and together we made the exciting move from a home-run enterprise
to an office linked to our stock room. We continue to grow, with exciting
expansion into new areas such as adult
winter coats, ladies' rain
coats, children's sun suits, wellies and more - watch this space! Our
small, dynamic team continues to prioritise efficient customer service but
without losing the personal touch - as many of you know, we love chatting
with our customers and getting your feedback!
Forest Schools and VikingKids: how it all started :
We were delighted to be chosen, from a number of companies supplying children's
rain wear (including Scandinavian brands) to equip 10 inner city schools with
waterproof dungarees and jackets for Forest School, in a project sponsored
by IKEA - just a few months after starting up! You can read more about this,
