We know that you provide us with information solely to order clothes from us. We will keep a record of your purchases and of any email correspondence solely in order to effectively deal with any queries or concerns you may have. We will not share this information with others.
Occasionally we run promotional offers to our customers and so it is worth joining our mailing list by sending us an email to mailinglist@vikingkids.co.uk to get advance notice of any upcoming promotions, discount codes and to be the first to hear about our New Season ranges and launch dates.
We use the secure payment system provided by Nochex, a well-known British on-line payment services company, to accept all major credit and debit cards: Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Visa Electron and Visa Debit (Delta). We can also accept payment by Paypal. Please note that the transaction will appear on your statement as "Nochex" or "Paypal".
Your name, email address and delivery details are collected by us when you checkout. When you select your payment method, you are passed directly to a secure site for payment processing. Please be assured that we never see your card details. We receive a confirmation of payment and verification of e-mail and delivery addresses only.
We will ship to any address in the UK, Ireland or rest of the European Union, as well as Switzerland, Norway, the Russian Federation and Ukraine. In addition we now also ship to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. At present we regret that we are unable to ship to any other destinations worldwide.
We don't like shipping charges any more than you do and so we try to keep them as low as possible. Within the UK, a non-refundable shipping fee of £3.50 per order is applied to orders below £75. We use Royal Mail First Class Recorded post unless agreed otherwise. A non-refundable shipping fee of of £9.50 is applied to all orders to other European countries (including Russia and Ukraine). For orders outside Europe, a non-refundable fee of £15 is applied to the first item, whereas the second item is charged at £5 and further items at £3. All orders will need to be signed for on delivery. Please note that international packages exceeding 2 kg will have to be split and additional shipping charges may therefor apply. In such cases we will contact you first to arrange any additional payment needed.
We will aim to despatch your order as quickly as possible (usually the same or next working day), assuming that the product you require is in stock (our systems are set up to only allow the purchase of items that are in stock). If we anticipate any delay beyond this, we will of course let you know by email.
If you wish to have your order despatched to your work, your neighbour or a relative please indicate this in your delivery address.
We cannot be responsible for postal delays. If you have a particular deadline, such as a birthday or a holiday, please let us know by email and we will try to help. If the product is in stock, we're usually able to offer the option of UK Special Delivery (guaranteed next working day delivery from the time of despatch) at a standard cost of £7.50 per order. If you want to take advantage of this service, we would advise you to contact us at the time of order to ensure availability of the product, and to check our next despatch date (possible on most working days but please check with us first).
VAT is not applicable on children's clothing, however is already calculated and included on any purchases of adult clothing.
Please note that for goods despatched to countries outside the EU you will be responsible for any import duty and/or taxes due when they reach your country.
Please make sure that you provide the correct delivery address at the time of ordering. We cannot be responsible for items lost due to an incomplete or incorrect address provided by the customer. Should your order be returned to us as "undeliverable" we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. In this case we reserve the right to charge you for any additional shipping cost.
We want you to be delighted with the clothes you buy from us. If you are not happy with the goods, please return them
We strongly recommend that you obtain proof of postage as we cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in the post.
For exchanges, we reserve the right to make a charge for the second delivery. We will not refund the cost of returning goods to us, unless the item was faulty when we destpatched it. Any errors with your order have to be notified to us within 30 days.
We reserve the right to refuse the return of goods without the original tags, or where the original manufacturer's packaging is missing or has been badly damaged as this seriously affects the resale value. Alternatively, we reserve the right to charge a £5 restocking fee per item for such items.
We strongly recommend that you follow the washing instructions on the label inside each item of clothing as we cannot make refunds for items damaged in the wash.
Please be aware that it may take a few days for your refund to be processed.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are of course unaffected.
